ANNUAL MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT
January 14, 2019
The Grand Lodge Annual Civil Liberties Summit will be held at The Holiday Inn Memphis Airport & Conference Center April 11-14, 2019 located 2 miles from the Memphis International Airport.
The Summit will start with a Civil Liberties Officers, Regional and State Directors and Directress meeting on Thursday evening at 7:00 P.M. in the Hospitality Suite for training. Registration begins on Friday at 9:00 A.M., with a 12:30 P.M. opening session, program to follow. Our Annual Black History Program and Awards Contest (African Attire) will be Friday. A Luncheon on Saturday, with Capping and dance Saturday evening.
Our business session will feature keynote\presenters, speakers and a workshop. We will be celebrating 93 years of the Civil Liberties Department in Elkdom. Emphasis will be placed on Community Readiness, the upcoming Census and the Under-Count problem. Reports will be heard from our officers and Civil Liberties Leagues from across the country, we are asking all reports to be sent in advance. The National Capping Ceremony for new members (White suit/Dress) will be followed by a Dance on Saturday evening.
Reservation for the Summit must be made prior to March 12, 2019. A credit card or advance deposit is required to Guarantee Reservation. The rate is offer $118.57(includes taxes). Breakfast is NOT included in the rate. Breakfast at the hotel is $ 9.00 plus taxes pay when you register at the hotel.
